Talal is a co-founder and partner at Afrique Advisors, and the managing Partner of the Washington D.C office. He specializes in institutional, political, and economic lobbying and works in sectors as varied as renewable energy, real estate, agro-business, manufacturing, education, and investment. He has more than 18 years of experience working in policy, nonprofit management, education, and business. He has successfully managed and executed several international business transactions involving the United States, the Middle East, and Africa.

For several years he served as Vice President for a leading lobbying and government relations firm in Washington DC, where he was leading the firm’s international business. In this capacity he represented several Middle Eastern, African and GCC countries in the United States and drafted impactful communication messages and successfully engaged different stakeholders on behalf of clients.

Before that, he launched and managed the Discovery Channel’s Global Education Partnership in Morocco and Egypt, which was a corporate social responsibility program of the Discovery Channel and the Coca-Cola Foundation. He previously served as founding director at the Maghreb Center, a Washington DC think tank, and served on the board of the High Atlas Foundation, which implements development projects in rural Morocco. Talal was Director of Economic Development Programs at the MENA Center and Assistant Editor of the Middle East Journal, a leading journal published by the Middle East Institute, A Washington DC think tank.
